As I mentioned in a previous post, I have started a new full time job with Dream Forest Stories, a media production house here in Singapore. I was hired as the Head Writer, but I have since taken on an additional role as one of the Executive Producers as well.
Dream Forest pivoted to online media production some years back. About a year or so ago, they started a new community channel called Singapore One. You can find the channel on YouTube here. They also have a website, which is where my writing comes in. I am responsible for everything that goes up on the website. And more recently, I have been writing every single article posted there. There have been some fun ones. Like the listicle on why having a united Singapore, Johor, Riau was not such a bad idea. Or the introspective on Singapore pop music. Most of all, the memes.

I took on this job to broaden my horizons as a writer. Although the company is not exactly new, I have a lot of space to experiment. Added bonus is learning more about video production, which is a totally different kettle of fish.
Don’t worry, I continue to work on the Pirates of Temasek. It is still under editing, and there are some elements I remain dissatisfied with. But it is coming.
Stay tuned.
